WHO I AM
Hello I am Mike Riley. I am an Application Support Engineer at Engine Yard, a Ruby on Rails hosting provider. Previously, I worked for Progressive Insurance as a User Experience Developer.
I have experience with design, programming and system administration. My desire is to always learn and grow professionally as well as personally. The projects and positions I have held have allowed me to do this.
With my design experience, I am well versed with various design packages. I have created logos, designed websites and created interactive usability mockups. My programming experience currently focuses on Ruby and using the Ruby on Rails framework. With the Ruby on Rails framework I have helped various clients with dynamic, scalable websites. With my current position, I help large and medium businesses troubleshoot application issues, in addition to helping them with performance issues and scaling their applications.
